In addition, if the footer is active on the page, the search bar on the top right hand corner of the screen shows up for some reason.

Would you please kindly go to Pro > Launch > Header and set the header you created to be assigned nowhere. So the legacy header will be activated.
Then please check the footer of the page and see if it is working.
On that case kindly go back to your header and try to remove any code you may have in text or heading elements.
Usually, if you forget to close a tag there or in similar cases this happens.
