Footer Breakpoints Not Working in Pro 2

Hi there,

Just upgraded to Pro 2 and noticed that the elements in my Footer designed to “Hide at breakpoints” are no longer hiding at all. I can manually handle this with CSS, but would definitely prefer to have this functionality back.

This issue does not happen with items in the Header or Content sections. I can confirm that the items in the Footer are the only ones not properly receiving the x-hide-* classes.

Thanks!
Matt

Hi Matt,

We are sorry you are having this issue.I have checked this setting on both container and bar and it is working as expected.

This might be a conflict somewhere like plugin or custom code. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time. If not coming from a plugin, try removing custom code. See if the issue is resolve. Also, in case you have caching, it is always best to clear cache before checking again. If this doesn’t work, we need to check your setup. • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • Footer with issue.

All the best!

Unfortunately, our network security policy doesn’t allow me to share administrative credentials for our site.

That being said, I checked our plugins but none of them caused this issue. Also removed custom code with no luck. Keep in mind, everything was working correctly until the install of Pro 2.

I tested with a few other element types in the footer and can confirm that it does not occur with every element type. The Inline Navigation element is the one we are experiencing this issue with specifically, while the text elements in the footer do receive the x-hide-* classes correctly.

The bars and containers also accept the classes correctly. I definitely think there is some issue with specific element types.

Is there anywhere we can see this live, even if not logged in?

Not any longer, no. I had to make a CSS change so that this issue does not appear to end-users.

If it happens again, I will update.

I just updated to Pro 2.0.1 and have the same exact issue. An inline nav that was once hidden on mobile (and one that was hidden on all other screen sizes) are now not being hidden despite the breakpoint selectors being chosen. I tried disabling most plugins but no change. My site is a dev site and is able to be inspected online.

Additionally it seems the update changed the class names of these inline navs and so my custom styling was removed from front end. I have updated them but I didnt think the update was supposed to effect sites that way. Not a problem since I’ve already fixed it, more of an FYI.

Hi there,

I deleted your credentials since it’s visible to the thread owner, I recommend starting a new thread and provide your credentials there, and again, on a secure note.

I could also check it but the credentials you provided has no admin capability and I can’t launch Pro’s features. And based on my initial checking, there are no visibility classes applied to that element. It could be a saving problem on your installation which may explain why the options aren’t taking effect. But in comparison on my installation, it should work.

Thanks!
