I have a lot of sites using X and the fonts are working fine with special font choises. However on my own site, the font “Didot” will not appear in headings. Times is replacing it, and all text is with shadow ( in the same color) which makes it slightly blurry to read.
Any suggestions on how to make the fonts work properly?

I checked your given page URL it seems that the Didot font is rendering on the heading. Please have a look at the given screenshot.
It might be the cache issue. I would suggest you purge all the cache and clear your browser cache and then check it again.
