Hey Guys,
Fonts.gstatic.com is slow to load and effecting website speed. It’s taking up to 1.2 seconds to load the font, and that’s just too much time.
Can i prevent that by just changing to a system font, or do i need to download the google font i was using to speed it up?

Thank you for writing in, Google Fonts load times sometimes depend on how many font-weight you have requested. So request only the font-weight that you need.
If you really need to host the Google Fonts, you can follow the guide provided here https://google-webfonts-helper.herokuapp.com/fonts/lato?subsets=latin
But I advice you read this thread here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/35065185/server-stored-fonts-vs-google-fonts first, and then decide if you really want to host the font files.
