Fonts are not rendering correctly in browser

The google fonts desired aren’t rendering correctly in the browser on the staging or production sites. I’m hosting with WP Engine. Cloudflare or additional caching is not setup. I’ve tried clearing the cache on both the server and browser side. The issue remains on Mac and Windows. I’ve also tried disabling and re-enabling Font Manager.

I have Font Manager enabled.

The top paragraph is body text font is set to Oxygen Light (200) by Google.

An additional style is set to Oxygen Heavy (700).

They both render as expected within cornerstone. However, Oxygen renders the same in Chrome or Blisk (Mac OS) vs Chrome or Edge (Windows).

This seems to be something related to the font itself as I checked the front end of the website and the fonts are indeed loaded as you mentioned:

But the view is not much different as you said. So the theme does its part and adds the bold and normal views. I used the WhatFont Google Chrome extension to find out about the information of the font.

Would you please kindly check the case with another font regarding the normal and blod view and see the case? If it works ok then it should be something specific to Oxigen font which I doubt there is something we can do further.

I was using the Font Manager incorrectly.

I had setup a separate style for each of the weights. This caused the font to load multiple times and the theme only displayed the last version loaded.

It displayed fine in Cornerstone, but was rendered incorrectly in the browser.

I deleted the previous styles and created one body copy font and checked all available weights. Then I updated the site and the fonts displayed correctly.

Essentially, users should not create multiple styles within the font manager for organizational purposes.
