FontAwesome Icons in CSS Pseudo Element not Working

As you can see, the font family is configured, the content is calling for a downward chevron, and the builder sees it as valid:

However, the front end disagrees:

Why is this happening? I can’t figure this one out for the life of me. What am I missing?

Thanks

Hey @simeoned,

Thanks for writing in! I have tested this on my local testing server and your code works for both the builder preview and the frontend. Just make sure that in the Cornerstone > Theme Options > Miscellaneous > Font Awesome , the Solid and Regular is enabled.

Best Regards.

Yeah, I am loading in SVG. I thought that was better?

Is there a way to do it keeping SVG as the load type?

Hello @simeoned,

I switched to SVG and it is working on my end too.

Thanks.
