Font-settings fail to apply after upgrade from 6.2.3 to 6.3.9

Sorry for not following up on After upgrade from Pro 6.2.9. to 6.3.8 font-settings fail to apply within 10 days.

Here is a screenshot with the issue…

Correction on the screenshot: www.eft-center-hannover.de is Pro 6.2.3
I just found out, that if there are two pro versions under the themes folder, one in folder pro and the other in pro.new the version numbers shown on wp-admin/admin.php?page=x-addons-home and on /wp-admin/update-core.php do not match. See next screenshot. /wp-admin/themes.php of course, shows both intances of pro.

We flushed every cache we could find, used several browsers, tried incognito mode. The font issue showed up consistently.

Could the font not applying have to do with that the test sites are copies of the production wp-installs? But then, why does https://eftph-test.eftch.de/ (Pro 6.3.8) as test of https://www.eft-paartherapie-hannover.de/ (also Pro 6.3.8) not have this issue?

Any suggestions on what goes wrong are welcome.

Thanks!

Hi Hendrik,

I have checked and found that 6.3.6 is installed on https://www.eft-center-hannover.de/ whereas 6.3.8 is installed on the other two websites. I would suggest you update to its latest version i.e. 6.3.9 and check if that resolves your font problem or not. If not, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

Hello Hendrik,

I checked your site settings it seems that you have not selected the fonts at the moment I would suggest you please select the font family and plunge all the cache then recheck it again. You need to go to the Cornerstone—>Theme Option —>Font—>Source Sans

You need to set the body font as well from the Cornerstone—>Theme Option —> Typography—>Body and Content

Hope it helps
Thanks

Hello Prakash,

You were right, it was a font setting. There a multiple places where the font can be set. The one under Cornerstone -> Theme Options -> Options -> Typography -> Font Family solves the issue. Probably the handling of font settings changed between Pro 6.2 and 6.3

Thanks a lot!

Hendrik

PS I have no clue how the Theme Options -> Options -> Typography -> Font Family setting relates to the setting under Theme Options -> Fonts -> Palette. Is there documentation on this topic?

Hey @raspberryhill,

Typography is different from the Fonts. The Fonts that you are referring to is the Font Manager and it’s for setting up custom fonts that you can use in the builders and in the Theme Options.
