Font Manager not Loading/changing fonts

Hi,

I have gone through the support forum. I have Font manager turned on.

I added a new font to the font manager and went to use it and it didn’t work, then realised that other fonts I had added previously which were working are now also no longer working.

I have purged my cache on my site and through my host, I only have one plugin which is for purging my cache which I unplugged and it made no difference.

I have the latest theme just updated today and am working with PHP 7.2

Please help I will add my details in a secure note.

Hello @Samantha,

Thanks for writing in!

I have checked your site and I do not see any issue. I have compared the font family in your site which is using Playfair Display and with Google Fonts and they are the same.

If this happened right after you have updated your theme, then this is just a caching issue. Since you are using SiteGround, please clear your cache or disable the supercacher in your hosting panel? The SuperCacher is developed by SiteGround exclusively for their customers. It increases the number of hits a site can handle and boosts the website loading speed. The SuperCacher includes 4 different caching options for maximum optimization of your websites. You can access the tool by clicking on the SuperCacher icon in your cPanel.

For more information about this, please check it out here: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/supercacher/supercacher_intro.htm

Hope this helps.

Yes you are definitely right about the cache. I had added in google Amatic for sub headings. I cleared my caches again then logged out of everything completely and went and had lunch and they are working again. My two main fonts for headings and the body were working I just wasn’t sure why a font I had added previously - a custom font was also not working when I hadn’t done anything to that and so I thought it might not have been a cacheing problem.

Thank you for such a quick response and your help. I think for now as my site is a work in progress and not getting any hits LOL I will turn off the superCacher as you have suggested and see if this helps whilst I get my site up and running.

Thank you.

We are delighted to assist you with this.

Cheers!
