Font Awesome 5 Icons Not Rendering

I tried to add a few FA5 icons to a page edited with the standard WP editor by searching the fontawesome page and pasting in the HTML. When I preview or save and view the page, the icons do not render. I am testing this using the latest version of Pro. On my other X powered site I have done the same thing without an issue. The Pro site is fairly barebones. I do have Ubermenu running on my X site that FA5 works on. So perhaps Uber menu is loading its call for FA5.

In order to add FA5 icons outside of the builders, do we need to do anything special?

Thank you for writing in, do you mean the Fontawesome HTML code that has fa class? No that does not work natively in theme, maybe you have integrated the Fontawesome on your X site manually or there is a plugin that enables you to use that fa prefix class.

You can use the icon shortcode instead.
