Followup on previous WPML topic - part #3

Hi,

since the last major release, that promised a huge improvement in WPML integration, I had some discussions with the WPML team. As discussed in Followup on previous topic - Part #2, I would keep you up to date.

The latest reply from the WPML support staff states:

I have followed up with our team and the compatibility is not there yet.

This workaround listed here is still valid and currently recommended to use.

Themeco’s team is working with our team to integrate the fix.

Once it is finalized the Errata page shared above will be updated.

I honestly doubt that: the release notes clearly state that the WPML integration has been improved, and from my understanding I actually thought that the errata WPML refers to, is no longer accurate.

Could you please shine a light on this matter and give an update on the current state of WPML’s integrations, with regards to the examples in the previous topics?

I’ve received additional information from WPML support:

Are you currently using their latest release? Pro 6.8.7 - May 4, 2026

From my understanding our team is waiting the author to update them, and they had access to the repo 2 weeks ago which is roughly around the time this release was made.

Their changelog has no mention of this and our team is also not updated, however, if you are using the latest version please do let me know your results.

This errata will also be updated once our team is updated as well.

Hey @dhunink,

Just to confirm, has the WPML team taken into account what @charlie mentioned in the previous thread (see Followup on previous topic - Part #2)? The WPML team needs to review this.

I’ve just shared that remark (again) with WPML support. Keep you posted…

Thank you.

Hi @christian,

I’ve received a reply from WPML. It still sounds as the WPML thinks the Pro Theme is not yet as ready as it is for the WPML translation engine.
Currently I’m in between Charlie and WPML Support. Could we perhaps get some input from @Charlie on this matter?

Please note that our compatibility team has direct communication with their team including Charlie.

We have provided a workaround in the meantime, however, we are working with them to make permanent solutions.

The previous information I shared still stands as true and we also have confirmation from Charlie and team that they have access to it as expected.

Being that what I shared in my previous reply stands true and we are actively working with their team I would like to avoid any more confusion and add that the best course of action is to use the workaround mentioned here:https://wpml.org/errata/pro-theme-layout-texts-not-translatable-via-wpml-translation-editor/ and as soon as this is resolved the Errata page will be marked as Resolved.
