Flickering content when pressing anchor link

Hi there,

when i press a link in the navbar the content starts flashing, jumping.

Try clicking on the links and keep clicking on the same link, there is a weird bug.

How can i resolve this?

Thanks for writing in!

Please be advised that this is not a bug. Remember that your link is for example: https://example.com/#video-gallery, clicking this link over and over will just display a flash or jump on the page because the current section which is the “video gallery” is already loading. The flash or jump is coming from the click event that loads the smooth scroll for the page.

Thanks for recording a video.

Regretfully, I couldn’t replicate the issue in my site though so there might be a third-party plugin or custom script causing this especially that you’re not using a child theme. With that said, would you mind doing the following:

  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  • Search your site for custom Javascript codes. Usually, they’re added in Theme Options > JS. Temporarily remove JS codes.

If those don’t resolve the issue, please give us WordPress Login details in a Secure Note so we could check deeper.

thanks for the reply!

This problem disappeared after i updated the X theme to the latest version.

I also updated my macbook to the latest version, maybe that was causing the issue.

Anyways, its solved, thanks :slight_smile:
