Firefox mobile browser displaying issues

Hi, my website is not displaying correctly on Firefox mobile browser. You can’t use it at all. The browser freezes, the scroll is very slow and it gets stuck.

With Chrome and Safari I have no issues at all.

Thanks for your help.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Are you using the latest version of Firefox ?

I have tested your site on Firefox but I could now experience any issues as you have mentioned. Could you please try clearing your browser cache, cookies and the re-test your site again. Make sure to update your browser, if you’re using an older version.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi,

I have troubles with Firefox for android release 58.0.2. The website doesn’t work at all with Firefox android.

Thanks.

Hello There,

Before we fully test your site, please update it to the latest version. Our latest versions are:

  • Pro theme 2.0.4

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hello,

I confirm you the site has Pro theme 2.0.4 installed. The static cache has been cleared and disabled.

I noticed the same “broken” behaviour also with the previous X theme installation and only when viewing it with firefox android.

Thank you for your help!

Hey @imalel,

Your site works in Firefox. However, I confirm that the performance is somewhat “choppy”. Would you mind copying your page to a test page and in the test page, remove the slider and see how the page performs. Continue removing elements to discover what’s causing the issue.

Thanks.

Hi,

revolution slider is causing the issue.

Is there a workaround for keep using revolution slider or I have to find another slider?

Thanks.

Hey There,

Since it only happens in Firefox Android, this could be a conflict between the plugin and the browser. There is no work around at this moment since the performance of the slider depends on the browser capability and other settings. If it is possible to use the built in Cornerstone slider as a replacement to your revolution slider, that might increase the performance of the page in Firefox Android.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your help.

Bye

You are welcome!
