Filterable index not displaying latest blog post

I have the filterable index on and it was working fine until I add a new blog post and the new post doesn’t show up until I turn off filterable index. I’ve checked the categories and they’re all numerically entered. It’s set to all but won’t display the latest post I just added. (ive turned it off so the new post shows up)

Thanks for posting in!

When you enable the Filterable Index, it will only display post items that is related to the filterable index categories which you have supplied in X > Theme Options > Ethos > Blog Options > Category IDs. When you create a new posts, make sure that it has been assigned to one of the categories that is set to appear in your filterable blog index or else those new post will not show up.

I apologize for the late response, I was sick with the flu and wasn’t able to reply until now.
As I stated, that’s what I did do, the categories are there however the new posts aren’t showing up still, as soon as I turn on filterable index, it disappears. I’ll add a secure note with my login.

Thanks for updating in!

The Filterable Index option, when enabled, will display the post items according to it’s assigned category. By default the category is displayed in alphabetical oder. This is why the very first group of posts displaying are coming from the “Beginner’s Guide” category.

Your latest post “Are you skeptical when you hear cannabis is medicine…” is not part of that category. It is part of the Education category which is why you can only see it when you select Education.

Hello Shannon,

Please be advised that WordPress will always display the post items in chronological order. The latest post items will always come first. With the Filterable Index, it is still the latest post items but according to its category which is in alphabetical order. Having that said, Your post "“Are you skeptical when you hear cannabis is medicine…” will never be the first to display since it only has Cannabis and Education category. Beginner’s Guide category comes first. If you want to see the latest then you will have to disable the Filterable Index option instead.
