Filter Dropdown Option

Hi,
I’m using the Ethos, I’ve added a customer post page with the short code of [recent_posts].

This is great, and I’ve managed to play around with the customised short codes.

However, I’d like to add a drop down menu where the user can select the category type to filter by. I can see that this is on the portfolio page, but I can’t see where I’m able to add it for my posts page.

Hi there,

You can add them as sub menu items in the Menu settings that are of Categories type.

Hey Graham,

The category filter is exclusively available for the portfolio page and for the blog index when you have enabled the “Filterable Index” option in X > Theme Options > Ethos > Blog Options.

The category menu item that you can add to your menu as a submenu dropdown will link you to the category archive page. To know more about menus and how you can manage it adding the categories as submenu items, please check this out:
