Fetch as google error

Hi,

I am continuously having an error from Google search console regarding a specific URL

The URL is https://tarekrabaa.com/topics/issues

The category base in Wordpress is replaced by topics but the “topics” is removed by SEO Yoast plugin so that i have my categories directly shown in the URL without the word "topics:.
I canceled this removal from Yoast but still my permalinks are not showing the category base.

What to do?
I am using this permalink custom structure https://tarekrabaa.com//�tegory%/%postname%/

Thanks for writing in!

I am not sure exactly if this is a theme issue or something related to the SEO plugins.
Can you please uninstall SEO plugin and try updating the permalink again. Let us know the result.
I believe there is something overwriting the permalink setting.

If that doesn’t help send us your loging details in a secure note so that we can check.

Hey @tarekr,

Please deactivate Yoast SEO and reset your Permalinks. We need to check what happens when Yoast is deactivated because we need to know if this is an issue with Pro. Also test using the default WordPress theme. Just remember that switching themes would reset the menus and widgets so you need to set them back once you’re done testing.

Hi There,

All your theme customizations and settings will be saved in the database. However if you change themes, content that you have created using Cornerstone builder will not be rendered correctly.
