How do you get the cornerstone featured image element to show in category archives? I don’t want to use the wordpress featured image option because of its limited customizability. I’ve enabled dynamic content in settings, but I must be missing something because it acts as a regular image that is visible only inside the post.

Thanks for writing in! The category or archive pages did not display any featured image because you did not assign any featured image to your posts at all.

Even if you have created the post in Cornerstone, you still need to assign a featured image.

What is the cornerstone featured image element used for? I assumed it would be the post featured image but I guess not. Anyway, I just used the WordPress featured image and hid it, so it shows in thumbnails but not in the post.

The Featured Image element is for displaying the featured image within the post or page. It’s not to set the featured image.
