Featured Image Not Loading

I have two websites I am managing. Today I tried uploading a featured image for a page for both websites, and on both of them, the image is not showing up when I copy and paste the link in imessenger. It still works for all featured images that I attached to other pages in the past…

Hi Zachary,

Thank you for writing in, was it a page? If so, please check your Page Template and make sure it’s not using the template that prefixes in **Blank - ** because those templates do not have Featured Image. Use the Layout - prefix template of the default template.

If that did not work, please provide us the direct page URL so we can take a closer look.

I do use Blank - No Container | Header, Footer for just about every page on all of my sites. I have been able to successfully attach a Featured Image to those pages and they all still show up today, except the ones that I tried to attach a Featured Image to in the past week or so. What changed? In Pages it still shows the option to attach a featured image. It shows that the image loads up ok. But when I publish…no results.

Hi Zachary,

May I know which page has a working featured image? Page templates has no featured image to it so even if you add, it shouldn’t display. Unless you manually added it in the content or builder. Featured images are only hard coded to post templates by default instead of page.

But if you have custom templates to enable that on pages then I assume it’s inactive since I don’t see any child theme active from your site. If I’m wrong then please provide more information how you added and display it on a page.
