Featured image error

Hi,

I have an urgent issue I need to solve and can’t figure it out.
I’ve changed the Featured Image in Wordpress but when I post to social media it’s still pulling the old one.

This is the URL I post: https://transformationwithin.com/
Old featured image has dates in June.
New featured image has dates in Oct.

I have dettached the old image from the page and then deleted the old image.
Thereafter cleared cache and purged CDN.

Please advise.

Hello @fredriklyhagen,

Thanks for writing to us

I checked your website and try to access your dashboard by your given credentials but it seems that you have not given administrator privilege to this account so I was not able to check which image you have set as the featured image.

I went ahead tried to post your website URL on social media like Facebook . Please have look at the screenshot that I got from Facebook

Since Facebook pull the website thumbnail form <meta property="og: image"> and I can see in your website source code same image URL as shown in the Facebook screenshot.

Please have a look at this article to know more how to fix social media Incorrect thumbnail issue in WordPress website.

Thanks

Thank you!
Apologies for my mistake, your user access is change to Admin.

Your screen shot doesn’t show the full image so I can’t see if it’s the image with June (wrong) or Oct (correct) dates.

It’s the correct image (w Oct dates) in the code screen shot but when I post it pulls the old one (w June dates).

I’m trying on Facebook and LinkedIn.

Hello @fredriklyhagen,

I checked your website Dashboard You have set this featured image

socialmedia

If you check the image source URL in media of this image URL your-domain-name/2020/09/vSML-Oct-Featured-image.png

Now let’s come to page source code

If you the source code “<meta property="og:image">” Image URL in the content attribut your-domain-name/2020/09/vSML-Oct-Featured-image.png

I tested on Facebook as well
sas

It is rendering Oct image which you have set in your featured image. It is working fine at my end

If this issue persist please go to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
