Featured image blog options ethos

Hi There,
I’m trying to match the image size for featured image on the blog https://wfdf.sport/news/ with content area recent posts on the home page https://wfdf.sport/
They are coming out at different ratios and I really need to find a consistency.
As always your help much appreciated

Lee

Hi Lee,

Thanks for reaching out.
The featured images are in the same sizes and set as the background image, the inconsistency is due to the white part of the image which makes the image small in dimensions in the same background.
If that is not the case, and you trying to point out something else, please provide a few more information like a screenshot with a marked issue or any video. It helps us to recognize the issue you are having.

Thanks

thanks for the reply, my client wrote me this:
The image size for the image appearing in the news (blog) nicely is: 662 x 430 pixels = 1.54 ratio
However the size of the images on home featured posts is: 478 x 269 pixels = 1.78 ratio
This means that unless we include a transparent left & right margin on all images they will have parts of the image cut off in one of the 2 sections … standardising on 1 ratio or other would resolve this issue.
I checked this here

and here

and can see that there is 2 different ratios

Hello Lee,

The featured image of the recent posts that are coming on the homepage, it is coming from Recent post element and the recent posts from the blog page is different. To change its size it would require custom CSS code and customization, you need to learn CSS and learn how to use the browser’s element inspector to change its size.

Please note that we don’t provide custom development and customization support. It is out of the support scope.

Thanks for understanding
