How do I feature my blog posts on my home page. I want it to look exactly like the first couple of blog posts but when i use the classic recent post element, it looks nothing like the ones on the blog page.

The recent posts elements will display post items in squares horizontally or vertically. I will not display items in a standard layout like your blog index. You can check out more of the recent posts element here:
What you can do is to insert a section with one column and then use an image, headline and text elements mimicking the standard blog post layout.
