Feature request: importing color schemes into Color Manager

Hey guys! Back again with another feature request.

I’ve been using X to build a bunch of sites and I’ve noticed in many cases we do a lot of prep-work twice, or even thrice-over to have a consistently named and usable color scheme:

  • Identify the (relevant) colors from client’s brand identity documentation & convert to hex/RGB(A)
  1. Create easy-to-use color scheme form/doc for easy on-the-fly copy-pasting
  2. Load colors into CSS variables for use with custom styles in the Child Site’s style.css
  3. Load colors into X/Pro’s Color Manager for use with Cornerstone elements
  4. (Load colors into additional plugins that support custom color schemes)

Is there any way to improve this workflow, by making it easier to import a color scheme into the Color Manager? Like with XML, JSON or some other common format? I’m sure a lot of people that work a lot with X would definitely appreciate this.

Hello Meng,

Thanks for this suggestion. I do agree that this feature will be helpful.

I have added it in our feature request list but please note that we cannot provide any assurance that this feature will be implemented or when if it will implemented in case it will be approved but this is something we can consider in the future development.

Thanks again!
