Feature Request: Global Element Style Presets

You may have already have this on your things todo but here it is.

The problem: When say a client suddenly says oh can we make all the text xyz now across the site and you are then having to apply stlye to all elements to fix that issue. or you realise something later in the design needs to change.

The answer: (Although a big ask)
Have the ability to style an element type(Text/Headline as priority) with a Custom Preset style

That preset can be modified somewhere in preset editor (i wouldn’t mind just a css editor) and applied to its global stylesheet.

The feature would then allow for you to remove the need for a “Text Format” to be on by default as well as attributes in the “Setup” part of Text, Headline, etc…

But these could be toggled back on as a way of overriding the preset maybe.

Then anytime you want to make a change to the whole website that has that preset attached. its right there!

final note. I realise you can probably achieve this with a custom css class and override element styles applied in the main CSS but it feels like a very messy way. especially when you can’t disable Text Format. it will only confuse other users.

one last thought sorry while its in my head. The Fonts area could allow for some extra options with each font to supply defaults. Then you could add more of the same font if you wish with different style settings.

Then you already have the Text Format with font-family drop down (you might rename to Font Family & Settings) but you can now give them the option to toggle on the extra settings or use defaults. It would then be handy if the font family & settings box was populated with a default font (possibly a default for each element type headline, text…)

Anyway just some ideas
