I love the new layouts, leaning towards adjacent personally!
But I switch a lot from desktop to my laptop which is then really hard to use the canvas (already defaults to the laptop breakpoint so I have to always check the desktop breakpoint when editing) but the new panels make it really hard to use and changing the settings each time is a pain. It’d be great to be able to minimise/collapse the panels (even the main one!) on the fly as needed.

If you press “CTRL+SHIFT+A” or “CMD+SHIFT+A” on mac it’ll hide the UI and just make the preview present on your screen. Does this help or is this what you wanted the UI to do?
I’ve often pressed that by mistake! But I think still a way of quickly hiding the 2nd panel (so what turns on when you set ‘adjacent’ or ‘split’ would be useful for quick layout management on different devices. So less of a preview type thing that the CMD+SHIFT+A does and more just a quick way of hiding the panels.
