Hello - I would like to thank you again for such excellent customer support! Will you please look at my site and tell me why the feature box in section 2 below the top of the page is not showing up in the center of 3 columns and with a colored background and increased font size like I think I have set it up? I am attaching a screen cap of what I see in cornerstone. Thank you very much!
Hi Robert,
Thank you for writing in, this seems to be a bug, please add a Gap element for now on those empty column so it will be respected by the filled column.
Cheers!
Thank you Friech! This worked perfectly. Can you please help me understand why the āfade inā effect isnāt showing up for that column with the feature box, please? Iām using the effect in many other sections. My site is empowermydna.com. Thank you so much!
Hi Robert,
Regretfully, the new Column doesnāt have the fade effect option, If you want to use the fade effect, you can use the Classic ROW as default child which contains the Classic Column, you can follow the instruction provided here.
We are planning on adding the feature, but in a different way. Weāre going to build a way to add fade and transition controls to all elements. For example, instead of an entire column, you could fade just a button. Or maybe you want to animate in an entire row? The new system will also allow for hover state changes to be applied to different elements. It will most likely be a new set of controls under the āCustomizeā tab.
Unfortunately, there is no ETA about this. But as soon as we have a timeframe we will provide information on our changelog page.
Cheers!
Thank so much for your help! I created a classic section with a classic row and then a classic column divided into 3 columns. I have 2 questions, please. 1. Is there a way to make background color for only the middle of the 3 columns? 2. Is there a way to have a second background layer so I can fade the color of the background image or is there another way to make it more transparent?
Iām attempting to use the classic section to recreate the section Iāve screen capped for you so I can use the fade in effect for the classic feature box.
Thank you again for your ongoing support!
Hello Robert,
To accomplish what you have in mind, please do this:
1.) Create a v2 section.
2.) Normally, when you insert a v2 section, it will have a new row element. You can change that by going to the Preferences and select Classic Row element when you add a default child when adding new sections.
3.) Delete the existing Row element and add a classic row element.
4.) Set up 3 columns in the classic row element and now you can the fade effects for the columns and at the same time, utilize the lower background and upper background image feature of the section.
Hope this makes sense.
Wow thank you for the fix! It worked. If you can please help me refine it just a bit. I left the new section you helped me create and the original section on my website for you to see. The feature box on the new section has the text running right up to the edge of the blue background. The text on the version below it on the website (the one I made originally) has a little bit of blue space on the ends of the text. Would you please tell me how to create that spacing on the new section? Thank you very much! Iāll add a screen cap.
Hello Robert,
Please edit your page, click on the column and in the column settings, you can add a right and left padding so that the text will have some gap between borderline of the columns.
Hope this helps.
Youāre most welcome, Robert.
