Favicons for all devices

Hello there,

How do I add the full range of favicons for all devices?

I have created the icons for iOS and Android etc. but am not sure how to add them via the theme settings.

Yes, I know how to add the regular favicon - that can be done through the theme customisation settings.

I am trying to add icons specifically for mobile devices, but would like to know if the theme can add these or if I have to edit header.php

Hi there,

You can only add one site icon through the customizer that is built in with Wordpress.

If you want to add more, you will have to make use of the wp_head action to add the additional codes in the head area.

Yes I suspected as much, but that’s fine - I thought it worth asking in case I had missed the options.
