Favicon Not Working

Hello,

I have uploaded a favicon to istylediy.com and it is not working. It is still showing the old favicon even though that file has been deleted.

Can you please let me know why it is not loading? The favicon that loads should be: http://istylediy.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/favicon.ico

Thanks for writing in! If you’re using a caching plugin, make sure to purge your server cache. If that doesn’t help, try deactivating your 3rd party plugins and check this issue again.

I have disabled all plugins and have cleared the cache of my browsers and of the caching plugins multiple times - doesn’t seem to be working!

No - the favicon is written: DIY.

The old favicon is “Style” which I deleted from the public_html folder in cPanel several days ago. I have spoken to hosting and they are not sure why it is still showing as the old one. They have told me it’s a theme issue…

Please try going to the favicon setting in the Theme Options and remove what you have set previously then try converting the ico file to a png file. Upload the png version in the media section and add the new URL to the favicon settings.

Try to clear your cache or load the site in Incognito mode.
