Favicon not loading

[Jonkurtz28]

How do I get the favicon to load on my xtheme website? I have added it to the ‘site icon’ section but it still does not load. Please help!!

Hello @Jonkurtz28,

Thanks for writing in!

Please remove the favicon you have set in X > Launch > Theme Options > Site Icon.

Then convert the ico file to a png file: https://convertio.co/ico-png/. Once converted, upload the png version in the media section and add the new URL to the favicon settings.

After that, please clear your browser cache or load the site in Incognito mode.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you.

Thanks for the quick response jumar. My file format was png and it still wan’t working… What are you supposed to put into the ‘Favicon (set path to image below)’ section? Thank you in advance.

Hi There,

You’re supposed to put the URL of the icon on that area, if you already uploaded the icon on the Media > Library you’ll see the icon URL there.
If that does not work still, please upload both .ico and .png file file format to Media > Library and provide us login crendentials in a secure note, so we can take a closer look.

Thanks,
