Favicon - how to simply upload?

I want to upload a favicon, what does:

Favicon (Set Path to Image Below) mean?

also how do I get rid of the | on the browser tab?

Favicon (Set Path to Image Below) mean?

This means that you can put the file path of the favicon in the textbox. You may upload the favicon in the media section of the admin and get the URL from there and set it as the favicon path.

To make it easy, you can install the Yoast SEO plugin so that you can set the page titles of your pages.
