Where is it now located?

Site icon is nto favicon since site icon is 512 x 512 and favicon 12x12 or 16x16

Hello There,

The Site Icon settings in the Theme Options were migrated to native WordPress “Site Icon” settings to avoid redundancy. Please go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity and update your site icon.

Ok but that is not the format for favicon.

WordPress will generate the right sizes for you and that includes a 32px version which is the standard favicon size. See https://www.w3.org/2005/10/howto-favicon
