Fatale error after Cornerstone update

Hi there,

today I did the upcoming update of X-Theme and Cornerstone.
Now I can no longer save changes to a page.
Everytime the same message: “Failed to save!”.

Is that a bug?
Will there be a fix tomorrow?

Wordpress wrote me the following:
"… Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in function that recognizes when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your website and notifies you with this automated e-mail.

In this case, WordPress caught a bug in one of your plugins, Cornerstone.

First visit your website (see private) and check whether there are any visible problems.

Please contact your hosting company for assistance in further investigating this issue …"

I deactivated the “Yoast Duplicate Post” plugin.
Unfortunately, this did not bring any success.
I deleted all duplicated drafts, emptied cache - even without success.

What can I do else?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Ingo

Hi Tina,

Thanks for reaching out!

Would you mind sharing your credentials so that we can check what’s going on? To do that, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password
  • FTP Access

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

In the meantime, I suggest that you run these common troubleshooting procedures.

Hope that helps.

Hi Marc,

by reading the newest topics at the forum I found the solution.
I deactivated Yoast SEO Plugin and now I can save again.
We can’t get updates from Yoast, cause it isn’t the premium vers.
I’ll wait maybe one week to see if you fixed the problem eventually from your side.
The issue happend after updates of X-Theme and Cornerstone.

Thank you very much for your quick response.

Best regards,
Ingo

Hello Tina

I would suggest you update the X theme to 9.0.5. It contains some of the fixes. Please lets us know how it goes.

Thanks
