Fatal Error with Essential Grid

Hi,

I updated today everything and now I get a Fatal Error:

Fatal error: Undefined class constant ‘isColor’ in /www/htdocs/w00969ef/dev/wp-content/plugins/essential-grid/includes/colorpicker.class.php on line 148

And I cannot administrate Essential Grid either. I see all essential Grids, but I cannot edit them. What can I do?

Thanks,

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! This error should not have happened. There might be some files that were corrupted. Please login to your ftp and browse to the plugins folder wp-content/plugins/. You will need to manually delete essential-grid folder. Please DO NOT delete the plugin right in your WP dashboard plugins section because it might delete your grids as well. You will have to manually delete the folder through FTP. Once you have deleted it, please go to X/Pro > Overview > Extensions and install a fresh copy of Essential Grid plugin.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

Hi,

I did what you said, deleted the Essential Grid Plugin Folder via ftp and reinstalled it via the X-Overview page. But the error is still the same! Please see here:

What can I do else?

Hi,

if I delete the 2 Essential Grids, placed on the homepage, the error is gone. But this cannot be an solution. I identified another problem. In Essential Grid I cannot edit any Essential Grid. The interface there is like broken. I deactivated every single plugin to see whether there is a conflict, but there is none. I also deleted all other themes, but it is still broken.

Please help.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I would love to check this further.

Would you mind providing your wordpress admin and FTP details in a secure note so that we can look into it?

Thank you.

Hello There,

Thank you for providing the access. I have investigated your site and to my eagerness to resolve this issue, I have accidentally deleted the plugin which have deleted your grid. I am so sorry about it. We can still revert it if we ask assistance from your hosting provider to revert the changes using the site back up in there.

I also discovered that there must have been something in your grids that resulted the issue. Because I have created a test grid and inserted it in a test page. In my test, there is no error and I have tried and tried my best to replicate the error and nothing. My test grid displays with no issues at all. I must say that your grid may have been created using the old version and there was something in it that resulted to the error. I cannot say which have caused it.

You can see the test page here: http://baumschule-vonderstrass.de/dev/baum/

Again, I am truly sorry for accidentally deleting the grid. I hope you could forgive me about my honest mistake.

Hi @RueNel,

thanks for investigating. I had a backup, but if i restore it, the error applies again! This must be an error in the skin, which i duplicated and edited. Do you want the json file?

Hello There,

Please try to change the skin and see how it goes. If it does not display the error, it is definitely the skin. If you can export the grid, that would be great so that we can investigate and confirm if it is the skin that is causing this.

Thank you.

Hi,

it was definitely the skin. I changed it, and it works perfect. Here you can download my old backup:

I’ve imported the json file and add the grid in my test site and I didn’t see the issue. The conflict might have been specific to your site only. In this case, you might need to rebuild the skin.

Thanks.
