Fatal error with convertplug plugin folder

I received the following error after reloading my webpage

Fatal error: Cannot declare class MaxMind/Db/Reader, because the name is already in use in */wp-content/plugins/convertplug/framework/lib/geolite2/Reader.php on line 14

I changed the convertplug folder name for a temporary fix.

I am not sure what caused this as I had left my laptop for a while and when I reloaded the page the error had appeared. Earlier that day I was making changes to a page through cornerstone (adding an embedded video) and the changes had been saved successfully.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

There was bug in the previous release of ConvertPlug.

Kindly try the new update for ConvertPlus 3.3.4 that was just released.

My concern is this happening again as the site is live. How can I prevent that from occurring again?

thanks.

Hi @ayham,

What we recommend is to test the update first to prevent this happening on live site. The 3.3.4 contains the fix on this error https://www.convertplug.com/plus/changelog/. Make sure to delete your existing ConverPlus plugin and install it again, because the old files may still there, the one responsible for this error.

Thanks!

Rad

This is a huge issue. It’s affected 5+ sites of mine, and counting. As a plugin directly associated with Themeco Pro & X this needs to be looked into to avoid crashing of tonnes of Pro/X sites with upgrades of ConvertPlug.

3.3.4 ConvertPlug still crashes the sites - had it happen literally 5min ago.

Please escalate this through support/dev.

Thanks
Sam

Hi Sam,

I just tried that version on my test sites and it did not crashed.

Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)

You can find the latest version numbers here: (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

Please also make sure you have enough php memory limit(at least 256M) and that you have at least php version 5.6 installed.

If you are still having issues, kindly create a new topic and provide us your wordpress ad ftp login in SECURE NOTE

Thanks
