Fatal Error on Cornerstone Update

My site is completely messed up.

I reinstalled X. Then reinstalled cornerstone.

Then updated cornerstone and got this message:

Unpacking the update…

Installing the latest version…

Removing the old version of the plugin…

Plugin updated successfully.

Plugin failed to reactivate due to a fatal error.

Fatal error : Call to undefined method ReflectionParameter::getType() in /home/MYSITE/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/Plugin.php on line 105

What to do?

Hi @lhd333,

Thanks for reaching out!

I suggest that you update your PHP version to 7.4 and up then it will be fixed your issue.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

I’ve just done this. Can’t install/activate cornerstone because of fatal error still.

Hi @lhd333,

Thank you.

I just entered the info (it’s appended to my last reply)

Hi @lhd333,

The WordPress itself says the site is running an outdated version of PHP (5.6.40) (see Tools > Site Health)

I reinstalled X version 7.2.3 and Cornerstone 4.2.3 on the site so it’s going up and running.

But please update your PHP version to 7.4 first, before you update X and Cornerstone to the latest version.

Please contact your hosting on how you can update PHP version.

Thanks,
