Fatal error after Updating Theme X

Today I’ve updated Theme X via FTP-upload, cause for this customer I am not allowed to do it directly on the server. So I’ve copied the files from a mirror installation on our own server and replaced them via FTP. This has been working perfect many times bevor. Afterwards I got this Message

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Cornerstone_Shortcode_Generator in /var/www/de.huelben.www/data/website/wp-content/plugins/xcornerstone/includes/classes/classic/builder/class-shortcode-generator.php on line 0

Can anybody help me what to do to solve this problem. Thanks

Hello @exitunit,

Thanks for asking.

Under /wp-content/plugins/ folder I suggest you to rename Cornerstone folder. Doing so will remove the error message that’s there on the front end of the website. After that from Plugins > Installed Plugins delete Cornerstone folder.

Next, either you can visit X > Validation to automatically install Cornerstone or you can upload the Cornerstone files under /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Please clear cache and reload the website. Let us know how it goes.

I’ve been nearly in the right direction but didn’t delete the Cornerstone folder I’ve only renamed it
After your hint I deleted the Cornerstone folder and the index in the plugins folder, than I’ve uploaded the Cornerstone folder again and it works, yeah.
