Fatal Error after update locks backstage

I just updated my Pro theme, and then when I went to navigate to Pages I got an error message, and the same error message kept coming up on every dashboard page I navigated to, and when I tried to log into the dashboard from a different browser and computer.
When I tried to log into the site itself, it did come up like normal, and I was able to access the dashboard using Wordpress’s debugging login. The debugging had one red flagged error, that being that the Pro theme had failed to load and was paused within the admin backend. What’s our next move?
Here’s the full error message:

Hi @LiveAndDirect,

Thank you for reaching out to us. This usually happens due to the version of PHP. Please update your PHP version to 7.4 the minimum recommended version by WordPress. You can contact your hosting on how to update the PHP version.

Let us know how it goes!

Ok, after an error on my end the PHP has been updated to 7.4, but Pro remains paused, and when I try restarting it I get the response that it triggered a fatal error. What’s my next step?

Hi @LiveAndDirect,

Please provide us login credentials in a “Secure Note” so we can take a closer look.

In the meantime, please do testing for a plugin conflict.

Thanks,

Hi Sean,

Thank you for the credentials, I look around the site but I did not encounter the fatal error issue, but I see PHP notice, which you can resolve by settings the WP_DEBUG to false.

Another thing I notice, your WordPress version is a couple of versions behind, please update WordPress to the latest version.

Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Cheers!
