Failed to install demo content

Hi there,

Looking to find out where I find the files for demo content are located, as I have tried to install a demo and it has had an issue and I’m in need of reinstalling it. I need to find out where the demo content files go to clear them for a reinstall.

Could you let me know what would work?

Hey @Tylernz1,

Regretfully, there is no way to clear your site of demos using one click. You need to manually delete the images, pages, and CSS it has added to your site.

You can. however, reset the Theme Options set by the demo by going to X/Pro > Validation. Click the Reset button under Theme Options Manager.

If you can reset your WordPress site, follow this 3rd party tutorial https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-restart-a-wordpress-site-reset-wordpress-the-fast-way/

If that is not what you mean, please provide more details.

Thanks.

Hi Christian,

The demo files are not installing. Any idea why? I’ve done everything that has been suggested.

Hi @Tylernz1,

First, please make sure your copy of the theme is validated, it’s worth revoking it and then re-validate it to make sure it is validated.

Also, please make sure your copy of the theme and WordPress is up to date (Pro 3.2.3 and WP 5.4.2).

If you still can’t import the demo, please clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) and then do a Testing for Plugin Conflict.

If that still not resolve the issue, Please ask your web host to increase the following server resources to the specified value or higher.

  • max_allowed_packet to 16mb
  • innodb_log_file_size to 128mb
  • upload_max_filesize to 100M
  • post_max_size = 100M
  • max_execution_time = 3000s

If the issue persists, please provide us login credentials and the demo that you want to import in a secure note so we can take a closer look and test it.

If your site is still new and it is possible to start from scratch, please reset your WP installation, you can use a plugin like WP Reset.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!
