Facebook Preview not loading from site

Hi there,

I’ve really never had a problem with this before, but suddenly this past week or so across 2 xtheme sites my posts no longer load previews on facebook.

The heading just lists the site url, there is no images or text preview either even though the posts contain both.

Can anyone help with this? Its a resource I use a lot for social media and without proper post previews there’s really no point.

Thanks!

Just to update, I ran my links through the facebook debugger and got the following notes. This is after scraping again.

Are you using Yoast?

No, wordpress x theme. This has only become an issue in the last 2 weeks too.

I’d suggest you use Yoast SEO plugin anyhow, and set the share image there.
Also make sure that the images is not too big.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! I have checked both of your sites and it seems that it has been crawled by facebook several days ago. You will have to click the scrape again to update the facebook cache of your link.

I would highly recommend that you use Yoast SEO plugin to manage the image, keyword, description and more. And make sure that the default X Open Graph option is disabled to avoid any conflict with Yoast.

Thanks for chiming in!
