Extra square outlines under social icons after updating cornerston

Hello,

I have the latest version of Wordpress, and right after I updated Cornerstone, square outlines appeared under the social icons on this page: https://www.lauraletchingerart.com/contact/
I don’t see a way to remove them and I also tried deleting the cache. Can you please help?

Thanks very much,
Laura

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in!

I can see there is two set op Icon on the page. The first set of the icon is a correct format that’s why it coming fine.
The second set of the icon is the wrong format.

Please check and delete the second set of the icon if you don’t need it.

Hope that helps.

Hi there-

Thanks for finding the issue!
But when I’m in Cornerstone, that second improperly formatted icon set isn’t showing anywhere; there’s nothing for me to delete. I don’t know how to access the code you included in your reply?

There’s actually other issues I’m seeing with notes about things not being able to render. This happened after updating Cornerstone. Could you take a look if I gave you my login?

Best,
Laura

Hi Laura,

Please please preview your page in Skeleton Mode to have a quick access on the elements on your page.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion about skeleton mode, but I had already tried that and the elements at issue do no show up in that mode either . …

Best,
Laura

Hello Laura,

The extra square icons is coming from the classic text element containing this:

<p style="font-size:40px; word-spacing:12px; padding:0px; margin:0px; width:100%;text-align:left;">
<a class="socialicons" href="http://instagram.com/llmodernart""><i class="x-icon x-icon-instagram"></i></a>
<a class="socialicons" href="http://twitter.com/llmodernart""><i class="x-icon x-icon-twitter-square"></i></a>
<a class="socialicons" href="http://pinterest.com/llmodernart""><i class="x-icon x-icon-pinterest-square"></i></a>
<a class="socialicons" href="https://plus.google.com/u/0/105183634007173471981""><i class="x icon x-icon-google-plus-square"></i></a>
</p>

I have removed it already. Please check the page now.

Great! Thank you for doing that . . .
It seems now that the twitter, pinterest and google+ icons have turn black in color rather than the theme blue color like the instagram and facebook icons still have. Would you be able to adjust that back?

Thanks so much,
Laura

Hi Laura,

Seem those style coming from inline CSS added to the icon.

Please remove the style for the original design.

Thanks

Thanks very much! That worked.

Best,
Laura
