Please find and remove it. It could be under functions.php file locates in your child theme or under Theme Options > CSS/JS.
Also try testing a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

I don’t see the ​ you referenced. That code is not in our child theme or any of the custom areas. We have already tried disabling plugins including caching etc. Its always possible there is user error on my part but can you look again? Keep in mind, this problem did not exist until the most recent theme update.
