Extra code to Google Analytics plugin?

Hi there,

I have a short question. I want to anonimize my Google Analytics data by adding “, { ‘anonymize_ip’: true }” to my tracking code. Right now I use the Xtheme Extension for Google Analytics (where I filed in my UA code), but where should I add the extra code “, { ‘anonymize_ip’: true }” ??

Hi Martijn,

Thanks for writing in! In that case, please deactivate Google Analytics extension first. And then install “Insert Headers and Footers” plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-headers-and-footers/). Once installed, go to the Settings > Insert Headers and Footers and paste your code in the headers section.

Simply copy and paste the code in the header area of the plugin.
