Expanded Gym Demo failed to finish importing

Hi Themeco,

I am trying to upload X’s “Expanded Gym” theme to my WordPress site www.betweapon.co.nz. No matter what I try I get the error message “We’re sorry, the demo failed to finish importing” after a few seconds as pictured below.

I have done extensive research through the forums and other useful help sites. I have upgraded php to version 5.6 and even tried it with version 7. I have completely cleared my cache. I have deactivated all plugins in an attempt to also get this to work. I have edited my php.ini file in cPanel to maximise all of my file size, upload size, execution time … etc limits. I have tried importing from multiple devices with different operating systems. I have uninstalled wordpress and X and reinstalled them on multiple occasions.

I have contacted my host www.crazydomains.co.nz regarding permissions and any other things that might be preventing this demo from importing. They advised me that nothing from their end is preventing the upload. More specifically they assured me that nothing from their end was preventing my site from reaching the domain community.theme.co, they’ve ensured that cURL is working and allow_url_fopen is enabled. They also ensured me that PHP is configured with the latest CA Root Certificates.

Also, I have previously successfully imported the “Gym” theme for other websites using crazy domains.

Is it possible to import the “Gym” Theme files directly into my cPanel public.html/themes folder via FileZilla?

I need this theme to import so I can continue development. Can you please help me with the install.

Kind regards,

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

I would like to test but the wordpress admin login provided is not working.

Kindly check again and let us know.

Thanks

Hi Paul,

I just checked to make sure that the username and password I sent you was correct and it worked.

If you go to www.betweapon.co.nz/wp-admin/ and then copy the username I listed to the username field and then copy the password I listed into the password field it works.

The username and password are case sensitive so copying them should solve that problem. Also, make sure you are copying the username and password details listed under the wp-admin section above and not from the FTP login credentials I provided above.

It may have also not worked because I have been logged into WordPress and it may not allow multiple users. I will now remain logged out for the next 12 hours so you can have a look.

I really hope this works but let me know if there are further problems.

Kind regards,

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

I’m another staff, copied your credentials but I’ve got the following error.

ERROR: Invalid username.

Could you please confirm?

Thanks!

Hi Mldarshana,

I just don’t understand why? I’ve now used 6 different computers, unrelated to myself and from a variety of different locations and managed to login using the login details I supplied without a problem.

As my email address can also be used as the username - I will supply it below in another secure message and have already ensured that it too works.

If this doesn’t work for you can you please reply (in a secured message) with the following information:

  1. The website you are visiting to reach my wp-admin login page.
  2. The username you are using in a case sensitive form.
  3. The password you are using in a case sensitive form.

I really hope this alternate username helps you login.

Kind regards,

Oliver

Hi Mldarshana,

I’m really sorry. I see what the issue is! The login page I provided was www.bettingweapon.co.nz/wp-admin/. This needs to be www.betweapon.co.nz/wp-admin/.

With this new login page the username and password I provided should now work.

I’m very sorry for my mixup.

Kind regards,

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

Thank you for the information provided. There was a cURL issue which I have resolved it for you and tested generating Gym demo content. Now you should be able to generate any other demo content as well.

Thanks!

Hi Mldarshana,

Thank you very much for fixing that for me and importing the Expanded Gym Demo. However, I’m still getting constant cURL error 28 issues. These occur when I attempt to update any Themeco plugin such as the X Theme or Cornerstone. Again I’ve contacted my hosting provider and have maxed everything out in the php.ini file. I am also using the PHP Version 7.0. Please see the error message I get in this screenshot:

Any assistance you could offer would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

Did you change your login credentials?

Is it possible to change your PHP version to v7.1.x through your hosting settings and see if that helps. Also ask your hosting provider to increase cURL timeout.

Hope that helps.

PHP version to v7.1
I think 99% hosting providers do not provide 7.1 version. Why other themes work fine?

Hi There,

Your login credentials are invalid. Could you please confirm with the correct information? so that we can look into your issue.

Thanks!
