Exclude categories from Archiv > pagination not working

I have created a blog archive layout that works well. Pagination also works.

But now I want to exclude 2 categories from display. To do this, I can either edit a row as a looper with Query Builder and exclude taxonomies, or declare the consumer column itself as a looper and edit it with Query Builder (is that right?). Like here: Display of only certain blog post categories does not work

This also works well. But the pagination no longer works. Page 2 and the following pages always show the same last posts. And each category URL also shows all the same last posts, no matter what category the posts have.

What am I doing wrong?

Ok, I just found this post with the same problem:

Hi, I created a new template with Layout builder a while back and all was well. However for some reason its stopped working. The first 10 posts show up on the first page, and the navigation at the foot lists all the pages of posts. When you click on the next or page number the navigation shows the change in the page but the same 10 post show on the page. Nothing I do seems to change this, can you please help? And just to be clear:

I can only have the blog archive page with all articles and all categories so that the pagination works.

But if you don’t want to show certain categories in the blog archive, then you need the Looper Query Builder, but then the pagination doesn’t work anymore???

Thanks for writing to us.

Please note on the blog archive page the default loop is going on so you don’t need an extra loop, now in order to exclude posts from the specific category on the blog archive page I would suggest you please set the condition like this to exclude the specific category post. It would exclude the post and the pagination would work as well.
