Is there is a good way to get excerpts in my recent blog posts element? See here: https://instituteforbiblicalresearch.org/

Thanks for writing in! You can display your latest blog post items in your homepage by using the Classic Recent Posts element or you can install the Essential Grid or TheGrid plugin to display a grid-like structure of post items.

I’m using the Classic Recent Post element now, but I want it to include the first 200 characters or so of each post. How do I do that?

There’s no option to show an excerpt of each post while using the Classic Recent Post, please follow what my colleague recommend you about using the essential grid plugin.

If you use TheGrid plugin, for example, you can display the excerpts. Check out this example grid here:

You can create the grid and then insert this grid to one of the sections on your homepage.
