Every Theme Update it wipes certain changes

Hi there, I have jus updated to the latest version of x.
Every time I update I loose my add to cart button location, as defult it is ontop of the pictures and I had had a developer change it to undreneath becasue it was so annoying for customers clicking on the picture and every time addint to cart when they didnt want too. Every time I update the theme I have to pay the developer to put it back correctly, I am using child theme so id expect it should all just stay the same after each update?

Also I lost my search button in the menu. Id love some guidance with how to get all this back without having to pay more money to a developer… Thanks

I checked and your site seems to look fine on my end and the search button is visible too.

After updating please don’t forget to clear your plugin cache and browser cache. It’s possible to implement the update, and not have it take place because a cached version of the page or various resources are loading instead of the latest version.

Don’t forget to check changelog as well so you are aware of the changes that have been done with the theme.
