Every page on my site has the blog posts show up on it. It goes away when I remove the child theme but then when I deleted the changes to the child theme I made, the issue is still there. No matter what page I go to the 2 blog posts are there.
Hi @AnthonyColli,
Thanks for writing in.
I have remove the entry in your Widget > Main Sidebar already so that it will not show in your posts and pages.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
no you did no understand what Im saying. The actual blog posts show up on every page…not the sidebar. If you click one of the links in the top bar the blog posts with show up there as well…
Hi There,
I can confirm the issue and your issue seems to be related to your child theme as I don’t see any caching plugins or CloudFlare on your site (see secure note).
Is it possible to provide us with your FTP credentials? so that we can check your child theme’s template files.
Thanks!
Yeah thats what I said in my post. I added the FTP access to the secure note in the top. The thing is when I deleted the files I changed in the Framework > Integrity folder the issue is still there so I dont know what else it would be.
Hi There,
Upon checking, I see that you have renamed your child theme to AC2018
which we do not recommend.
Please download a fresh version of our child theme from your Themeco Dashboard and install it first. Then add your template files one by one to see which cause this issue.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
I tried this and it worked for a bit and then I added another file to the child theme and it started placing the blog on every page again…
Hi @AnthonyColli,
That file could be the possible problem. Would mind sharing us the details file that you added so we could check why this is happening.
Thanks.
I copied the file (wp-single.php) from the Pro theme into Views > Integrity and didn’t even change anything yet…I’ve been saying the same thing this entire time - it has nothing to do with the changes I’m making to the templates.
Hi,
I have installed a fresh copy of pro child theme and it seems to have fix the issue.
I renamed your old child theme as Pro Child backup.
Try to add your custom code from old child theme to the new one bits by bits while checking each time.
That way you will be able to narrow down what it causing the issue.
Thanks
That worked for a bit and I transferred everything from the old child theme without an issue. It worked for a day and then randomly the blog posts started showing up on every page again. There was no change I made that would of done this, I just refreshed the page.
Hi,
I installed a new child theme again and added your custom codes.
It works fine on my end.
Please try to check for a few days if the issue persist.
Thanks
This is the third time this has happened…I can’t just keep installing child themes every time this issue persists…
Hi There,
If this is happening randomly without adding any modifications to your child theme, you need to contact your hosting provider to and ask them to monitor any suspicious activities on your server.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
I’ve contacted them already and they say there is no server issue. Again 4 days later after you guys made that change the blog is showing up on every page, so I need an answer for why this would be happening because I can’t keep reinstalling a child theme every time this issue comes up and I dont see any other reason this is happening.
I need an explanation for why this is happening, even if its user error but just something better than what I’ve been getting.
Hi There,
I’ve switched to the Pro parent theme and the issue has gone.
Could you please double check all your custom code under functions.php
file again? It could be the problem.
Let us know how it goes!
