Hi, So my event calendar isn’t working properly. The updates that I made to the event pages aren’t reflecting on the slider or the listed display on the home page. The slider also currently isn’t displaying events on my home page. Could you take a look at it and let me know why it isn’t working and how to fix this. Could it be the theme update interfering the MEC?

Hey @quituck,

Please try updating to the latest version of X first. I checked the front-end display and back-end data of your events and they’re in sync. Would you mind giving us screenshots of what’s happening on your end? Did you also try clearing GoDaddy’s cache and also your browser cache?

I cleared the cache. The slider still is not working.

Hello There,

Please follow up the steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. Go to X > Settings and click on the Clear Style Cache button.
  3. If you’re using a CDN(ex: CloudFlare), please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services. For the CloudFlare you also need to follow the steps below besides the developer mode: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/1
  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  5. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.

I’ve tried all of there options with no success. Any other suggestions?

Hey @quituck,

Please see the screenshots in the secure note. Are you not seeing what I’m seeing? The MEC slider displays your events and the front-end display is synced with the back-end.

Please try checking in incognito mode and other browsers.

I was unable to see the screen shots you sent. There is a broken paper icon where the images are suppose to be. I guess my issue with this event calendar slider is that the event slider or plugin is not working properly.

For example:

My client has a Mac I have a PC, I don’t know if that really matters, however the event is displaying differently on both of our computers. ( Mine only displays a heading on the back end and his displays a heading and paragraph of text)

One thing I noticed is the updates I make to the event on my computer takes effect, and display the current changes on my slider. My clients changes don’t take effect, they save on the back end but don’t display on the slider with the current changes.

Why do we have to different displays? We both tried clearing the cache in the site, the browser, godaddy, and the theme style cache.

Any idea how to solve this problem?

I solved this problem, Turns out we were working from different sites.
