Ethos1: Carousel and recent posts not appearing

I’m using a child theme for Ethos1. I want my site to appear as the demo, with the slider across the top and blog posts appearing in the main body, below “Filter by Topic”. The carousel isn’t showing up at the top and the body is blank. I’ve only posted 1 blog post, but I also have the demo content still showing (using it to help me customize appearance).

I’m quite new to web design and Wordpress. Let me know what I can do to generate the customization I was hoping for.

Hello Kirk,

Please check the settings in X > Theme Options > Ethos and set the Display option of the Post Carousel and Post Slider to Random.
