Newbie here Looking to setup the ethos1 blog but not as the homepage. Want to have a static homepage
but have the Ethos1 blog not as the homepage but as a blog item on the menu. Can someone please
give me a step by step guide on how to find the url for the Ethos1 blog and to input it as a url on a blog item on the menu? Much appreciated.
Create two pages, one called blog and one called home (or if you already have these pages simply rename them to home and blog). They don’t actually need to be named this to work it just makes sense to name them this way.
Go into settings > reading from the main WordPress dashboard. There’s an option to set either a static page as your home page or display most recent posts. Select static and then select home as the page you want to display. There’s another option to select your default posts page, select blog for this.
To setup menus go to appearance in the settings menu and find menus. You can then add blog and home to your menu and delete/modify menu items as you desire.
