I can’t for the life of me get my homepage to display my posts in reverse chronological order. I’ve searched and read that this should be the default state so I’m not sure how I may have changed that setting. The ‘Recent Posts’ widget displays the posts in the correct order. I have also made sure that ‘Filterable Index’ is turned off. What am I missing?

Thank you for writing in, yes by default the Blog Posts index is set as newest to oldest. Please make sure that those posts at the top are not set as Sticky Posts, if so please unset those posts from being Sticky Posts.
If not, please do testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
