Ethos post carousel not working after Pro 6.0.1 update

Hello,

I have updated my Pro theme to the latest 6.0.1 version, and Ethos Post Carousel is not showing any posts after the update. If I go to Cornerstone and open any post in the editor, the Post Carousel shows posts.

When looking at “Live Preview” or actual post:

View from Cornerstone:

Do you have any idea what may cause this issue? I cleared the elements system cache from Cornerstone settings and also cleared all cache from my caching plugin (W3TC). I also tried to disable all plugins, but that didn’t help either. Can you please assist me with this? I appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi Zeljko,

Before anything else, please note that your support period has already expired. Support is included for 12 months from the time of purchase (6 months if purchased from ThemeForest or CodeCanyon), and you can extend it for 6 months or 12 months. You’ll save 25% by extending for 12 months. It will renew at the end of the term, and you can cancel at any time from within your account.
You can also renew your support period by purchasing a new Pro Single or Pro Unlimited license. These are both one-time charges.

Alternatively, you can avail of One service, and this will not only help you with product questions but also 3rd Party plugin support and even customizations and custom codes.

Coming to your question, it seems that it might be an issue with the cache. I would suggest you check once by clearing all types of cache including the Style Cache from Cornerstone > Settings > System > Clear Style Cache and check in the incognito/private mode of the browser.

Thanks

Hello @tristup

I apologize; I didn’t notice my support expired. I renewed it, so I hope it’s okay now.

Unfortunately, I already did what you suggested, but it didn’t help. Is there anything else I may do, or should I provide login credentials so you may have a look? I appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi Zeljko,

Thank you for renewing the support.
If you have already cleared the cache, there might be some different reasons behind your reason, I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

  1. Theme Related Issue
  2. Plugin Conflict
  3. Theme Update related issue
  4. CSS/JS Customization
  5. Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

NOTE: Please deactivate any minification plugin, that might be a cause of your issue.

Thanks

Hello @tristup

I did notice the difference when inspecting the Post Carousel header element in Chrome’s devel tools. This is the result when a header is inspected when opened in Cornerstone:

When the same header is inspected on a live site, the result is quite different (some “styles” are not loaded):

I hope this will help in determining the issue. Thank you.

Hi Zeljko,

After thorough checking, I am able to replicate the same in my local environment. I suspect this could be a bug in the latest version theme. I will report it to the Issue Tracker for further investigation by our development team.

Thanks

I think this is probably a jQuery thing from going to your site. We added it back in 6.0.3. Let me know if you have any issues in that upgrade and we’ll get you squared away. Apologies for the issue. Thanks have a great day.
